The ability to dry your clothes on your own schedule is provided by a dryer. You’re not as dependent on the sun’s whimsy any longer, nor do you need to remember to bring your clothes inside when a sudden downpour strikes.
Sometimes, the amount of time still left in your dryer’s drying cycle can be determined with accuracy. Therefore, the displayed time should continue to count until there are no more minutes. But why would a dryer stuck for 1 minute before the cycle is finished? Are there times when a cycle of your dryer ends abruptly?
Here are the potential reasons why the dryer malfunctioned:
Broken Drum Belt
Drive belt damage or failure is the most frequent reason for a dryer to turn off after a short period of time. The drive belt is wrapped around the dryer drum, idler pulley, and motor pulley and aids in the rotation of the dryer while it is in use. If it is broken, the dryer won’t operate properly.
Motor is Overheating
The motor’s overheating is the second potential reason to investigate. The motor will probably need to be replaced if it is overheating.
Worn-Out Door Latch
The door latch is the next element to be examined. When the dryer is turned on, the door may open because of a worn-out door latch. You must change the door latch to resolve this issue. Fortunately, fixing it is simple.
Defective Sensor
The moisture sensor is another thing to look at. This part keeps track of the dryer’s moisture levels and alerts the control panel when necessary. If it develops a defect, it will incorrectly inform the dryer’s control board that there is no moisture present, which will cause the dryer to turn off.
With a dryer, you can hasten the drying process for crisp, fragrant laundry and do away with the need to rely on favorable weather. Say goodbye to arduous wait times, color fading, and odors and hello to always wearing your favorite outfit.
